The formation of gas hydrates is a major issue during the operation oil and pipelines, because cause plugging, thereby disrupting normal flows. A solution to inject hydrate inhibitors such as ionic liquids. Contrary classical inhibitors, liquids act both thermodynamic anti-agglomerates. Imidazolium-based have been found efficient for inhibition CO2 CH4 hydrates.
